Let’s Game Now Raises $3 Million for Esports League

Indian gaming company Let’s Game Now raised ₹30 crore ($3 million) from a round co-led by Anand Mahindra and Bestvantage Investments to develop its franchise-led esports league.

Indian gaming and esports company Let’s Game Now has raised ₹30 crore (about $3 million) in a funding round co-led by Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra and India-based Bestvantage Investments. A UAE-based family office also participated. Bestvantage Investments advised the company exclusively on the deal.

Let’s Game Now has not disclosed its valuation, the amount invested by each backer, the investors’ ownership stakes or the fundraising stage. Most of the funding will support the development and expansion of the Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL), which the company formally announced in March 2026.

The ISGL is planned as a national esports competition with eight permanently owned teams competing in seasons. Its founding teams are Mumbai City FC, FC Goa, Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters FC, Inter Kashi, Puneri Paltan, Bangalore Bhargavas and Andhra Agneyas. Several are linked to clubs in the Indian Super League, while Puneri Paltan is associated with the Pro Kabaddi League.

The league is set to feature chess, EA Sports FC 26, Call of Duty: Mobile, FAU-G and Cricket 26. Let’s Game Now has not announced when the first season will begin.

Mahindra confirmed his investment in a social media post and compared the proposed league with the Pro Kabaddi League, which he helped establish. He described the competition as one whose action “isn’t on a mat. It’s on a screen.”

Mahindra also highlighted the background of Let’s Game Now founder Santanu Basu, who was one of India’s early professional esports players. Basu competed internationally in the FIFA football video game and finished third at an international tournament. Mahindra described competitive esports as requiring strategy, reflexes, teamwork and discipline, and said it could create career opportunities.

Basu founded Let’s Game Now in 2018 and has represented India several times as a professional esports player. He co-founded the ISGL with Gautam Badalia, a former chief executive of Route Mobile who has more than 20 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets.

Before the latest round, Let’s Game Now had raised about $2 million through early-stage and seed investments. Its previous backers included Shuru-Up, which invested about ₹1.4 crore in late 2023, Auxano Capital, Punjab Angels Network and individual angel investors. Auxano later sold its stake to another party in a secondary transaction.
