Legacy’s arT credits leadership after comeback

Legacy captain Andrei “arT” Piovezan has developed his leadership after his team rallied from 9-3 down on Mirage to beat MIBR 2-0 and reach the 2026 CS Asia Championships final.

Legacy captain Andrei “arT” Piovezan has taken on a larger leadership role after his team overturned a 9-3 deficit on Mirage to beat MIBR 2-0 in the semifinal at the 2026 CS Asia Championships. The win booked Legacy a best-of-five final against Falcons on May 24, 2026.

Legacy recovered on Mirage by forcing overtime and then closed the series on Inferno. The team trailed 9-3 in the first half of Mirage before winning the second-half pistol round and building momentum that carried them through overtime.

arT described the halftime plan as focusing on one round at a time. “Let’s just win the pistol round and then we’ll see what happens,” he recalled, adding that the pistol round victory sparked belief across the squad.

The win sets up a rematch with Falcons, who beat Legacy 2-0 earlier in the event. Falcons enter the final as the tournament favorites; Legacy will face them in a five-map match for the title.

On his role at Legacy, arT said the club has allowed him to mentor younger players and help them pursue career goals. He spoke about feeling close to his teammates and working in a more comfortable environment that lets him play his best Counter-Strike.

arT also reflected on recent career setbacks, including exits from FURIA and a short spell at Fluxo, and framed his current role as the result of growing maturity. He described leadership as a trait that developed over time and through experience.

He pointed to recurring slow starts against top teams and urged the squad to focus round by round rather than the map as a whole. “Play what’s right in front of us first, then we’ll think about what happens next,” he said, calling that approach the team’s game plan for the final.

arT commented on the Brazilian scene, naming FURIA as the country’s top team and noting that paiN and other Brazilian squads have been making deeper runs at events. Legacy will try to defend their 2025 CAC title when they meet Falcons in the grand final.
