Legacy reach back-to-back CAC finals after OT on Mirage
Legacy beat MIBR 2-0 in the CS Asia Championships semifinals on May 24, rallying from 9-3 down to win Mirage in overtime and closing Inferno 13-5. They face Falcons in the final.
Legacy advanced to the CS Asia Championships 2026 final with a 2-0 victory over MIBR on May 24. The match featured an overtime comeback on Mirage and a 13-5 finish on Inferno. Legacy will play Falcons in the grand final, while MIBR drop to the third-place match against MOUZ.
On Mirage, MIBR held a 9-3 lead at halftime on the CT side. Felipe ‘insani’ Yuji provided several early multi-kills as MIBR ran a proactive defensive setup that produced information and early round wins. Legacy recovered in the second half as Guilherme ‘saadzin’ Pacheco and Eduardo ‘dumau’ Wolkmer increased their impact, countering MIBR’s aggression and pushing the map into overtime. Legacy carried momentum into OT and closed out the map to take a 1-0 series lead.
On Inferno, Legacy kept pressure across both sites. MIBR’s T-side found only a pistol round and a forced-buy win as their planned executes failed to convert. Andrei ‘arT’ Piovezan’s aggressive B rushes produced key round entries for Legacy, while saadzin and Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto delivered consistent impact on defense. Legacy completed the map 13-5 to seal the series.
Individual statistics reflected the result. Dumau finished 39-29 with a 1.39 rating. Saadzin posted 40-23 and a 1.38 rating. Vinicius ‘n1ssim’ Pereira and latto recorded 37-29 and 36-29 with ratings of 1.28 each. ArT totaled 23-29 with a 0.76 rating and contributed decisive tactical plays. For MIBR, insani ended 39-39 with a 1.35 rating. Klimentii ‘kl1m’ Krivosheev was 35-34 with a 0.92 rating, Carlos ‘venomzera’ Eduardo 26-33 with 0.91, Linus ‘LNZ’ Holtäng 16-32 with 0.73, and Breno ‘brnz4n’ Polett0 23-37 with 0.66.
Legacy added arT earlier this season and reached the ESL Pro League playoffs shortly after. The team struggled at PGL Bucharest and IEM Rio, then won a domestic title at the BetBoom Rush B Summit in Brazil and placed third at IEM Atlanta before reaching the CAC final. MIBR entered the semifinals with four players ranked in the top five for rating at the event after a dominant run through earlier rounds.
The CAC grand final between Legacy and Falcons is scheduled later in the event, followed by MIBR versus MOUZ in the third-place decider.
