Latto’s ace sends Legacy to CS Asia semifinals

Bruno ‘latto’ Rebelatto’s 1v3 ace on Nuke secured Legacy a 2-1 victory over The MongolZ at the CS Asia Championships in China on May 23, 2026, advancing the Brazilian team to a semifinal against MIBR.

The final round saw latto face three opponents alone. He moved through decontamination and window, made noise and completed a plant after teammate arT urged him to do so. Latto ranked the play among the top three of his career because it prevented a 12–11 finish and preserved Legacy’s economy.

The result is Legacy’s second straight semifinal appearance. Latto credited recent events in Rio and Atlanta with building the squad’s confidence and giving players more playoff experience and exposure to larger crowds.

He pointed to slow starts and weak in-server communication as problems in earlier matches, including the series with Falcons and the opening map against The MongolZ, and warned that small mistakes are punished by top-ranked opponents.

Legacy will meet MIBR in the semifinals; the teams met earlier this year in Bucharest, where Legacy lost. Latto described retaining the CS Asia title in China as important for the team and the fans and set reaching the Major playoffs as a personal target, calling it ‘a dream’ he has not yet achieved.

On the decisive round, latto recalled there ‘was not a lot of thinking’ and that he ‘just went and played what was in front of me.’ He noted that the Atlanta event included four wins and one loss and added that the experience should help the team manage nerves in future playoff matches.
