jL shines as MOUZ take bronze at PGL Astana

MOUZ secured third place at PGL Astana after defeating magic 13-2 on Mirage and 13-7 on Inferno. Lotan ‘Spinx’ Giladi led Mirage with a 20-4 line and a 2.24 rating. Justinas ‘jL’ Lekavicius produced a 23-7 performance on Inferno and finished the series with a 28-14 K-D and a 1.47 rating.

The match closed MOUZ’s first tournament with the revised roster. Dorian ‘xertioN’ Berman moved into the in-game leader role and the lineup added Adrian ‘xelex’ Vincze and jL. During the event MOUZ beat G2 and recorded two wins over Aurora en route to the podium.

Across the series MOUZ’s other figures were: xertioN 31-23 with a 1.39 rating, xelex 26-19 with a 1.32 rating, Spinx 31-17 with a 1.31 rating and Ádám ‘torzsi’ Torzsász 33-18 with a 1.28 rating.

magic struggled in the decider. Nikita ‘tenzy’ Kochenyuk finished 22-28 with a 0.93 rating, Svyatoslav ‘MaSvAl’ Masko was 20-26 with a 0.87 rating, Vitaliy ‘sFade8’ Marushka went 19-32 with a 0.77 rating, Abdurakhim ‘mo0N’ Issa was 14-30 with a 0.62 rating and Andrey ‘AW’ Anisimov ended 15-33 with a 0.60 rating.

Reflecting on the official broadcast, xertioN called the event a successful first outing, noting the team reached its goals and that he still aims to develop his leadership.

MOUZ will travel to Shanghai for the CS Asia Championships, which begins Wednesday and includes Falcons, PARIVISION and The MongolZ. The result in Astana gave MOUZ a top-three finish ahead of that event.
