PGL Wallachia Season 9 opens Sept. 19 at PGL Studio in Bucharest and runs through Sept. 27. Sixteen Dota 2 teams will compete for a $1,000,000 prize pool. NAVI faces Hokori in the tournament’s opening match on Sept. 19 at 13:00 EEST. Matches will be played on game patch 7.41f.

The event starts with a group stage using a modified Swiss-system format. All group matches are best-of-three. Based on group results, the top eight teams will advance to the playoff stage while the remaining teams are eliminated from contention.

The playoff phase uses a double-elimination bracket. Playoff matches are best-of-three, with the exception of the Grand Final, which will be a best-of-five series to determine the champion. The tournament’s full prize pool will be distributed among participating teams.

Prize allocations include $300,000 for the winner, $175,000 for the runner-up and $120,000 for third place. Teams finishing at the bottom of the standings will each receive $10,000.

All matches will be held offline at PGL Studio in Bucharest across the nine-day event. This is the ninth season of the PGL Wallachia series.
