JiJieHao send FaZe to DraculaN lower bracket

JiJieHao defeated FaZe in the Anubis decider at Digital Crusade DraculaN Season 7 in Bucharest on Oct. 21. The result sent FaZe to the lower bracket and increased the importance of their next match in the race for a PGL Major Singapore invite.

FaZe won Mirage 13-6 after the teams exchanged early rounds. JiJieHao then won FaZe’s Dust2 pick 13-9 to force the decider.

Anubis reached the final round with JiJieHao leading 12-11. The round ended in a two-versus-two situation. Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewski secured both kills for JiJieHao, but he could not defuse the bomb before the timer expired. The result gave JiJieHao the map and the series.

FaZe will face Envy in the lower bracket. FaZe are 14th in the European VRS ranking, with the cutoff for Major invites set for Nov. 2. A top-six finish in Bucharest would raise their projected invite chance from 55% to 87%, according to the event’s invite predictor. An early elimination could affect their position among the teams competing for the remaining European invites.

Envy have a projected 7.9% chance of qualifying for the Major. A top-six finish at DraculaN would raise that projection to 25%. The winner of the FaZe-Envy match could face HEROIC later if HEROIC beat BBL in their lower-bracket series.

JiJieHao rose to 18th in the European VRS ranking after the win and temporarily took the final invite position. Their projected chance of holding that place through the Nov. 2 cutoff remains low. JiJieHao will continue in the upper bracket against SINNERS, who handed HEROIC their first loss of the tournament.
