GamerLegion, LEON.Bet launch CS2 FACEIT grassroots league

GamerLegion and LEON.Bet opened a CS2 FACEIT League on May 19 with an open leaderboard; prizes include over $1,000 in CS2 skins and gaming gear for community players.

GamerLegion and LEON.Bet announced the GamerLegion x LEON FACEIT League for Counter-Strike 2 on May 19. The competition runs on FACEIT’s leaderboard and matchmaking system and targets community and grassroots players rather than professional teams.

To participate, players join the GamerLegion Club with their FACEIT account and play CS2 matches on the league’s dedicated leaderboard. The event uses an open leaderboard format instead of fixed-team registration, allowing individual players and small groups to compete without committing to a season-long roster.

Prizes include in-game CS2 skins and physical gaming equipment such as headsets, mice and keyboards. The total prize value exceeds $1,000 and consists of items rather than cash awards.

GamerLegion and LEON.Bet began their partnership in October 2025 when LEON.Bet became the official sportsbook partner for GamerLegion’s CS2 team. The agreement expanded in March 2026 to cover GamerLegion’s Dota 2 roster. Since then the organizations have run fan engagement initiatives, including exclusive content, giveaways and community campaigns aimed at connecting fans with professional teams and supporting grassroots activity.

Several other companies have introduced or expanded grassroots programs. ASUS Republic of Gamers announced ROG Masters North America 2026 for players in Canada and the United States. Ubisoft launched the R6 Esports Competition Hub in March 2026 to support Rainbow Six Siege competition beyond top-tier events. FlyQuest unveiled Project Grassroots in March 2026 to back Tier 2 teams and smaller competitive programs.

The FACEIT League offers casual and semi-competitive CS2 players a recognized platform to compete and win gear and in-game items while maintaining sponsorship activity at the community level.
