GamerLegion’s hypex confident after IEM Atlanta win

Shortly after GamerLegion defeated paiN in the IEM Atlanta quarterfinals, AWPer Milan “hypex” Polowiec expressed confidence and said he expected to carry momentum into the semifinal against Legacy in Atlanta.

Polowiec told reporters he felt certain about the result before the match and planned to take the same mindset into the next game. “I’m feeling great. Before the game, I knew we were gonna win, and we won, so hopefully the same mentality tomorrow. It’s definitely going to be a harder game, but we’re here to show what we can do, and I’m hoping we’re going to do the same as today,” he said.

He pointed to fan support and the presence of veteran Paweł “Snax” Kapłoński as factors in his stage confidence. “Yeah, we have Snax, and everyone just loves Snax. It was insane, and hopefully, they will bring the same energy tomorrow. I feel confident on stage. I think I showed it today, and I’m hopefully going to show it again tomorrow, and hopefully again on Sunday,” he added.

On his individual form, Polowiec said he has worked on specific issues after a less consistent showing at the previous event. He reviewed his matches and focused on improvements. “I’m slowly finding myself, I think I’m doing better and better all the time. Last event was a bit shaky, I improved since then, rewatched everything, knew what to focus on, and I think it’s working well for me for now,” he noted.

Looking ahead to Legacy, Polowiec warned his team would face a loud, aggressive opponent. “It’s going to be pretty hard. They’re a very good team, I think. They’re definitely gonna be loud, in our face. I’m just hoping we’re gonna be able to prove ourselves and go knock them out,” he said.

GamerLegion will meet Legacy next in the IEM Atlanta semifinals, with the winner advancing to the tournament final.
