GamerLegion eliminate Liquid at IEM Atlanta 13-9, 13-6

GamerLegion eliminated Team Liquid from the IEM Atlanta 2026 group stage on May 13 in Atlanta, winning the series 2-0 with scores of 13-9 on Mirage and 13-6 on Nuke. The Polish team advances to the group-stage final to face Astralis.

Liquid picked Mirage but managed only two rounds on the attacking side. GamerLegion converted two rounds on Liquid’s low-economy buys and maintained a lead through the match to close 13-9.

On Nuke GamerLegion produced a dominant CT half, building an early advantage that carried them to a 13-6 win.

Sebastian “Tauson” Tauson Lindelof led GamerLegion with 32 kills, 22 deaths, a 1.46 rating and 69.9 average damage per round. Milan “hypex” Polowiechy recorded 33-24 and a 1.26 rating. Fredrik “REZ” Sterner, Oldřich “PR” Nový and Janusz “Snax” Pogorzelski contributed across both maps. For Liquid, Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa had 33-29 and a 1.03 rating, Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek went 29-29 with a 1.00 rating, and Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski finished 27-32 with a 0.93 rating. Roland “ultimate” Tomkowiak and Keith “NAF” Markovic ended the series with ratings under 0.85.

Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek acknowledged recurring slow starts and problems on the attacking side, adding, “Where do I start. We’re starting the game slow every time, and overall we didn’t perform like we should.” Liquid’s T-side win rate at IEM Atlanta was 39.5%, a figure better than only two teams at the event.

Liquid’s VRS ranking has fallen from No. 13 to No. 44 since the start of the year. Liquid will play at the CS Asia Championships 2026 starting May 20. GamerLegion will meet Astralis in the group final; one more win would move them into the playoffs.
