G2 Esports wins 20th LEC title with 3-0 sweep

G2 Esports defeated Movistar KOI 3-0 in the 2026 LEC Summer Split Grand Final on Sept. 20 in Nice, France to secure the organization’s 20th regional title.

Support player Lampros Labrov Papoutsakis was named Finals MVP for the first time in his career. The win was Luka Perkz Perković’s first championship as G2’s head coach; he previously won eight regional titles and the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational while playing for the organization.

Rasmus Caps Borregaard Winther added his 18th LEC title, extending his record as the region’s most decorated player.

G2 had mixed results in the Group Stage but improved in the playoffs, advancing through the semifinals and delivering a sweep in the Grand Final. The organization won all three LEC titles in 2026, completing a domestic set of summer, spring and winter split victories for the year.

On the international stage in 2026, G2 finished second at The First Stand and fourth at the Mid-Season Invitational. With the LEC crown secured, the team is scheduled to compete at the 2026 World Championship.

Since its debut in the European scene, G2 has reached 24 regional Grand Finals and won 20 titles, having missed the final on four occasions. The Nice victory increased the organization’s total regional championships and added to its record of Grand Final appearances.
