FURIA eliminate MOUZ at StarSeries Fall, win 2-1

FURIA eliminated MOUZ from StarLadder StarSeries Fall on Saturday with a 2-1 series win. The Brazilian side won Cache 13-8, lost Mirage 16-19 in double overtime and secured Nuke 13-6.

On Cache, MOUZ opened 4-0 on the defense before FURIA ran seven straight rounds to take control. FURIA led 7-5 at halftime and increased the margin after the switch, closing the map 13-8. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato topped the scoreboard on Cache and finished the match series with a 1.44 overall rating.

Mirage featured a sustained comeback from MOUZ. MOUZ began 3-0, trailed 5-7 at the break and fell behind 5-10 after the swap. MOUZ then won five consecutive rounds to reach 12-11 map point. FURIA forced overtime but MOUZ prevailed 19-16 in double overtime. Adrian “xelex” Vincze led MOUZ on Mirage with 34 kills and a 1.51 rating on the map.

Nuke decided the tie. FURIA opened 6-0 on the attack, MOUZ answered with six straight rounds to level at halftime, and FURIA won seven consecutive CT rounds to finish 13-6. KSCERATO had 18 kills on Nuke and posted a 1.57 rating on that map.

Across the three maps KSCERATO finished with 66 kills. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko recorded 51 kills for FURIA. Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo and Yuri “yuurih” Santos provided additional support with 47 and 40 kills respectively. For MOUZ, Dorian “xertioN” Berman had 30 kills across the series.

FURIA advance in the lower bracket and will play MIBR later on Saturday after MIBR beat NRG earlier in the day. MOUZ are eliminated from the event. Prior to StarSeries Fall, MOUZ had won BLAST Bounty Season 2 against Spirit and reached the grand final at BLAST Open Porto. An opening loss to NRG put MOUZ into the lower bracket, where they recovered with a reverse sweep of Natus Vincere before falling to FURIA.
