Forza Horizon 6 arrives on PS5 later in 2026

Forza Horizon 6 will reach PlayStation 5 later in 2026, after its May 19, 2026 launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC. Premium Edition owners receive early access beginning May 15. Microsoft confirmed the PlayStation edition during its January developer showcase but did not provide a specific release date.

Playground Games developed Forza Horizon 6 and presented the first gameplay on January 22. Turn 10 Studios is assisting with the PS5 port. The game is available to wishlist on the PlayStation Store; users who add it will be notified when a release date is set.

Microsoft has not explained the staggered console releases. Craig Duncan of Xbox acknowledged that “when a strategy changes, maybe you’ve got a plan that exists with a game and maybe you can adopt that, maybe you can’t,” and said “sometimes we are inconsistent. You see some games in one place, some games in multiple places.”

Microsoft’s release approach has varied across recent titles. Forza Horizon 5 debuted on Xbox and PC in November 2021 and arrived on PS5 in April 2025; that PlayStation release generated about $300 million in revenue. Other Microsoft-backed games have been planned for simultaneous release across platforms.

On Xbox and PC, Forza Horizon 6 will be available on Xbox Game Pass from launch, giving subscribers access without a separate purchase. Microsoft and Playground Games have not detailed platform-specific features or whether the PS5 edition will match technical parity with the Xbox Series X|S and PC versions at release.

Players can wishlist Forza Horizon 6 now on the PlayStation Store to receive an alert when a date is announced. Microsoft and Playground Games have so far provided only the broad “later in 2026” window for the PlayStation release; further timing and feature details will be disclosed later.
