Fnatic promote 17-year-old rifler mazay to main roster

Fnatic signed 17-year-old rifler Volodymyr “mazay” Iorhachov from Spirit Academy to its main CS:GO roster, moving Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets to the bench.

Fnatic announced the signing of 17-year-old Volodymyr “mazay” Iorhachov from Spirit Academy and confirmed Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets has been moved to the bench as part of off-season roster changes.

Mazay rejoined Spirit Academy in February 2026 after a brief spell with the academy in summer 2025. He left the first time because study commitments in Germany limited his practice time. Fnatic has promoted him to add rifling firepower ahead of the next qualification cycle.

Br4tkO joined Fnatic from Lazer Cats in March and averaged a 0.97 rating while playing for the team before being benched. The club earlier added Artem “cairne” Mushynskyi from Ninjas in Pyjamas during the same off-season. At the invite cutoff for the Cologne Major, Fnatic ranked 50th in Europe and sat roughly 300 Valve points below the qualification zone.

On X, mazay wrote: “First of all, I want to say big thanks to Spirit Academy for giving me so much knowledge about this game. I’m looking forward to using it in practice. It’s a great opportunity for me, and I want to put 100% of myself to make this team succeed.”

Spirit Academy coach Dmitry “S0tF1k” Forostyanko previously praised mazay’s potential and said he would return the player to the academy “at the first opportunity.”

Fnatic’s main roster now lists Rodion “fEAR” Smyk, Artem “cairne” Mushynskyi, Dmytro “jambo” Semera, Nikita “jackasmo” Skyba and Volodymyr “mazay” Iorhachov, with Miks “Independent” Siliņš serving as coach and Viktor “Br4tkO” Kondratets on the bench.

The organisation described its recent signings as intended to increase squad depth and attacking options as it prepares for the upcoming competitive season.
