Ninjas in Pyjamas part ways with ewjerkz
Ninjas in Pyjamas and 25-year-old Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto have mutually parted ways; Pinto is now a free agent after six months on NiP’s bench since December 2025.
Ninjas in Pyjamas announced that it and 25-year-old Michel “ewjerkz” Pinto have mutually agreed to part ways, releasing Pinto from his contractual obligations after six months on the team’s bench since December 2025.
Pinto rose to notice during 2024 while playing for SAW. He made his Major debut at PGL Copenhagen and helped SAW reach the semi-finals at IEM Cologne, where he posted a tournament rating of 1.11. Those results preceded his signing by Ninjas in Pyjamas at the start of 2025.
During his time with NiP Pinto played in several events, including IEM Cologne and his second Major at StarLadder Budapest. Across his appearances for NiP he recorded a 1.08 rating. The organization moved him to the bench at the end of 2025 after a run of results the club considered insufficient.
After roughly six months as a benched player, Pinto is now available on the free-agent market. The club’s announcement did not include details about Pinto’s next steps or any immediate roster replacements for Ninjas in Pyjamas.
