FL4MUS boosts BetBoom into IEM Atlanta playoffs

Stand-in rifler Timur “FL4MUS” Marev helped BetBoom beat Vitality 2-1 at IEM Atlanta on May 12, 2026, clinching a playoff spot and drawing transfer-window interest ahead of the Cologne Major.

BetBoom defeated Vitality 2-1 on May 12, 2026, at IEM Atlanta, securing a place in the event’s stage playoffs after beating B8 2-1 the day before. The back-to-back wins put BetBoom among the tournament’s top six teams.

Timur “FL4MUS” Marev played as a stand-in while Daniil “d1Ledez” Kustov remains sidelined by visa issues ahead of the IEM Cologne Major. FL4MUS traveled to Atlanta with a valid visa and has been acting as a temporary member of the roster. BetBoom’s confirmed starting five for Cologne has not been announced; FL4MUS will join the Major only if a main roster player fails to secure a visa.

On the Nuke decider against Vitality, BetBoom posted a 10-2 lead at halftime. Vitality mounted a late comeback attempt, but BetBoom preserved the margin to win the map and the match. FL4MUS attributed the strong first half to calm play, clear communication and coordinated execution, saying the team reacted to information on its monitors, avoided mistakes and worked together on game plans.

FL4MUS is filling an anchoring role rather than his usual position. He described his focus as helping the team produce results and demonstrating his individual level before the transfer window: “I’m not playing in my positions, I’m just playing some anchor, just doing my work to help the guys out to achieve great results.” He added that showing good individual form is part of his aim ahead of roster decisions.

The Atlanta stage appearance will be FL4MUS’s first live-stage playoff. He recalled earlier disruptions to tournament appearances when visa problems prevented him from taking part in a Virtus.pro playoff match in Katowice.

On team language and fit, FL4MUS said he does not prefer English- or Russian-speaking rosters and that fit and chemistry with teammates and coaches determine how well a player integrates. BetBoom advances from Atlanta with roster uncertainty still unresolved; FL4MUS remains on standby as a substitute for the Cologne Major and will travel only if a starter is denied a visa.
