FISSURE Sets Fourth Counter-Strike Playground for 2027

FISSURE announced that its fourth Counter-Strike Playground will run from Aug. 18-30, 2027. The event will feature 15 teams invited through the Valve Ranking System (VRS) and one team from a closed qualifier. Georgia is listed as the tournament’s visa region, but FISSURE has not announced a venue.

The direct invitations will use the first monthly VRS ranking update published in July 2027. Eight teams will receive invitations to an online closed qualifier through the European VRS. The winner will claim the 16th and final LAN place.

FISSURE has listed an overall pool of $1.25 million. It includes $450,000 in prize money, $550,000 in club rewards and $250,000 in participation payments for teams ranked among the VRS top eight.

The winner will receive $165,000 in prize money and $135,000 in club rewards, for a combined $300,000 before any participation payment. The runner-up will receive $75,000 in prize money and $85,000 in club rewards. Third and fourth place will receive $50,000 and $30,000 in prize money, along with $60,000 and $46,000 in club rewards, respectively.

Teams placing fifth through eighth will receive $20,000 in prize money and $33,500 in club rewards each. Ninth through 11th place will receive $8,000 and $14,000, while 12th through 14th place will receive $6,000 and $10,000. The teams finishing 15th and 16th will receive $4,000 in prize money and $9,000 in club rewards.

The participation payments will be available to invited teams that accept their places. The top-ranked team will receive $60,000, the second-ranked team $50,000, teams ranked third and fourth $40,000 each, teams ranked fifth and sixth $20,000 each, and teams ranked seventh and eighth $10,000 each.
