FERJEE launches Rainhas do Clutch 2026 in Rio

FERJEE opened registrations for Rainhas do Clutch 2026, a women’s Counter-Strike 2 event with a BRL 250,000 prize pool and LAN finals at Marina da Glória, June 23–26.

FERJEE opened registrations for Rainhas do Clutch 2026, the federation’s first international women’s Counter-Strike 2 championship. The tournament carries a BRL 250,000 purse and will conclude with LAN finals at Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro from June 23 to 26, 2026. Organizers describe the event as a world-tier competition and will hold online qualifiers before the Rio LAN.

Registrations for the online qualifying phase were open from May 13 to May 17, 2026. Regional qualifying matches ran from May 19 to May 24 across Europe, North America and South America. Four teams will advance to the Rio LAN: one from Europe, one from North America and two from South America.

The total prize pool is BRL 250,000, split into BRL 150,000 in direct prize money and a BRL 100,000 Club Share programme. To receive Club Share payments, organisations must be legally registered and provide formal written contracts for their players.

The LAN finals will take place at the Marina da Glória event space and are integrated into the program of the Energy Summit, a global innovation and technology festival in Rio de Janeiro. The four qualified teams will compete on site from June 23 to 26 as part of the summit’s schedule.

The tournament arrives after the ESL FACEIT Group suspended the Impact league in 2025. Since that suspension, women’s CS2 competition has been maintained through grassroots events and third-party tournaments while organisers and teams seek new high-level pathways.

Parallel initiatives aim to restore an international calendar for female players. The not-for-profit Brace For Impact (B4I) partnered with ESL FACEIT Group to use FACEIT Clubs infrastructure and pledged events across five regions in 2026. Recent commercial interest in inclusive esports has included the launch of Portugal’s eLiga BPI, an expansion of League of Legends Game Changers in EMEA, and a one-off L’Oréal Paris activation with FURIA.

FERJEE presents Rainhas do Clutch with regional qualifiers, a defined prize split and an in-person final tied to a major festival in Rio.
