FaZe win Roman Imperium Cup IX, climb to No. 16

FaZe beat NAVI Junior 2-0 in the Roman Imperium Cup IX final on Saturday, completing a run that lifted them 14 places to 16th in the global VRS rankings. They conceded four rounds across the two maps.

The title was FaZe’s first LAN win since IEM Chengdu 2024. David “frozen” Čerňanský is the only player remaining from that roster.

FaZe opened the tournament with a 2-1 win over Sangal after losing the first map. They then beat PURE 2-0 before overcoming NAVI Junior 2-1 in the upper-bracket final. FaZe lost the opening map in that series, and the decider went to overtime.

Jakub “jcobbb” Pietruszewskij led the final with 34 kills and a 2.04 rating. Frozen had 27 kills and a 1.68 rating, while Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken finished with 25 kills. David “FAZERY” Procházka led NAVI Junior with 17 kills and posted a 0.84 rating.

FaZe’s projected chance of qualifying for PGL Major Singapore rose to 71.8%. The team is scheduled to play two more LAN events before the November 2 invitation cutoff: DraculaN Season 7 in Bucharest from October 19 to 23 and the RLG Tesla Cup in Belgrade from October 27 to 29.

The Roman Imperium Cup IX final followed FaZe’s loss to BIG in the HLC Belgrade PRO 2026 final, which left the team out of the IEM Cologne Major.
