Eyeballers name yxngstxr stand-in; CS2 bomb update

EYEBALLERS announced that Simon ‘yxngstxr’ Boije will stand in for Max ‘maxster’ Jansson in the opening stage of BLAST Bounty Season 2. Jansson was granted leave to take a vacation before the team accepted the event invitation. EYEBALLERS will face FaZe in the first round of the single-elimination bracket on July 22, 2026.

The substitution covers at least the initial matches of the single-elimination opening stage. Tournament rules permit temporary substitutes for scheduled matches. EYEBALLERS registered Boije for the first-round match against FaZe. The team will confirm roster status after the opening rounds and may announce changes depending on results and player availability.

Valve released a CS2 update that changes how the planted bomb interacts with utility. The bomb’s shockwave now clears smoke grenades and extinguishes molotovs and incendiary grenades at the moment of explosion. The update also limits the bomb damage health preview so it only appears when the bomb becomes audible to players.
