ESL reveals docs, player profiles and fan upgrades at IEM Cologne
ESL will publish three player profiles, a documentary on the IEM Cologne 2022 Natus Vincere – FaZe final, a 10-minute season trailer and fan upgrades including LED wristbands, Marc “Nix0n” Kristensen wrote.
In a Reddit post, Marc “Nix0n” Winther Kristensen, ESL’s director of esports for Counter-Strike, outlined the organizer’s content and fan-experience plans for the upcoming IEM Cologne Major.
Kristensen wrote that ESL will publish three in-depth player profiles during the Major, calling them “three deep-dive player profiles on the stars of the tournament.” The profiles are intended to run while the event is active.
ESL also produced a documentary revisiting the IEM Cologne 2022 grand final between Natus Vincere and FaZe, a match Kristensen described as “the greatest series in CS history.” The documentary will be part of the event’s content slate.
A 10-minute season trailer that highlights the season’s main narratives is scheduled for release on Monday, the post said.
Onsite fan upgrades listed in the post include LED wristbands for attendees and changes designed to make merchandise purchases easier. Kristensen noted there are additional spectator enhancements that were not itemized in the update.
The announcements were presented as ESL’s public content roadmap for the tournament and will be released during the IEM Cologne Major.
