ESL adds Cache to Pro Tour, removes Overpass

ESL replaced Overpass with Cache across its Pro Tour map pool after Valve updated the Active Duty rotation. Cache debuts at the ESL Challenger League Season 52 European cup, July 12–14.
ESL updated its map pool across all ESL Pro Tour competitions, replacing Overpass with Cache after Valve changed the Active Duty rotation. The new pool takes effect at the ESL Challenger League Season 52 European cup, scheduled for July 12–14.
Cache has already appeared at lower-tier events including CCT and the European Pro League. The map will return to tier-one competition at the XSE Pro League, which begins on July 1. Other organizers added Cache to most of their competitions; one North American qualifier could not include the map because it took place days after Valve announced the rotation.
ESL’s update brings its tournaments in line with Valve’s Active Duty list. The change applies to all ESL Pro Tour events and gives teams time to prepare for Cache in both Challenger-level and tier-one events during July.
Cache is a longstanding Counter-Strike map that has been rotated in and out of competitive duty. Overpass was removed from the Active Duty lineup in Valve’s rotation and will not be part of ESL Pro Tour map selections until Valve revises the list again.
