CBF Listed as EA FC 27 Sponsor at Gamescom; Brazil May Return

Gamescom LATAM lists the Brazilian Football Confederation as an EA FC 27 sponsor. EA set a May 3, 2026 announcement for Brazilian fans, suggesting Brazil could return since FIFA 21.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) appears as a sponsor for an EA FC 27 presence in the Gamescom LATAM program, and EA Sports has scheduled a May 3, 2026 announcement aimed at Brazilian fans. The combination has prompted speculation that Brazil’s national team could return to the franchise after its absence since FIFA 21.

An X user, Matheus Gamer, flagged the Gamescom LATAM listing showing the CBF logo alongside EA FC 27 branding. The listing ties the confederation to EA’s activities at the regional show. EA’s separate May 3 event for Brazilian audiences was posted by the company and is still listed as upcoming.

Brazil’s national team has been missing from EA’s main football title since FIFA 21. The absence is tied to licensing arrangements: representation of the national team requires image-rights agreements with individual players rather than a single national-team contract. Many Brazilian players have continued to appear in the game through club and league licenses, but the Selecao has not appeared as a fully licensed national side.

If a licensing deal with the CBF and relevant players is reached, the national team would likely return with official team name, kits, badge and player likenesses. At the time of writing, EA Sports has not confirmed that Brazil will appear in EA FC 27 as a licensed national team.

The Gamescom LATAM listing and the May 3 announcement are scheduled events where EA and the CBF can provide official details. Fans and observers are awaiting those communications for confirmation.
