Analysts Give Karrigan 8–9 for Falcons Debut

Nohte, NER0 and KingT rated Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s Falcons debut 8–9, citing leadership that opened roles for kyousuke and TeSeS and changed zonic’s influence.

During a pre-tournament broadcast ahead of the CS Asia Championship, analysts Danish Nohte, Harry “NER0” Richards and British analyst KingT rated Finn “karrigan” Andersen’s Falcons debut an “8 or 9” out of 10. The comments followed Falcons’ run in Astana, where the team reached the final.

The panel reviewed match statistics and forum reactions to identify immediate effects of karrigan’s arrival. Analysts identified three specific shifts: more room for Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin to operate, a clearer mid-round role for René “TeSeS” Madsen, and a change in how coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen could influence matches under a different captain.

On TeSeS, the analysts contrasted his earlier flexible support duties with a more consistent mid-round assignment after karrigan joined. They pointed to round-by-round data showing TeSeS taking more defined responsibilities in entries and retakes rather than rotating between multiple support tasks.

For kyousuke, the panel noted instances where he occupied higher-impact positions and had space to attempt decisive plays. Analysts linked these moments to in-game calls and role distribution that shifted when karrigan led the team.

Regarding zonic, the broadcast observed that a more authoritative in-game leader can affect a coach’s ability to direct strategy during live rounds. The analysts did not reach a conclusion on zonic’s long-term role, saying more matches are needed to evaluate the interaction between coach input and the new captaincy.

Karrigan rated his own debut “an 8 or 9 out of 10.” The analysts largely agreed with that assessment while highlighting the statistical changes in teammate roles during the Astana run. The segment served as a preview ahead of the CS Asia Championship and focused on observable roster and role shifts since karrigan joined Falcons.
