3DMAX climbs rankings after Logitech G Play Connect win

3DMAX defeated Luminosity 3-2 in a five-map final at the Logitech G Play Connect event in Warsaw on Wednesday, winning the deciding map Nuke in overtime after a nearly seven-hour grand final. The victory awarded the French side 214 Valve points and moved them into the PGL Major Singapore qualification zone as Europe’s 18th-ranked team.

The tournament began with a three-way tie in 3DMAX’s group alongside BBL and EYEBALLERS. The team finished second in that group after losses to Inner Circle and Liquid. In the knockout stage 3DMAX won a best-of-three against M80 and then another three-map series versus Inner Circle to reach the final against Luminosity.

Individual performance figures from the event show Bryan Canda (Maka) led 3DMAX with a 1.32 rating. Kévin Rabier (misutaaa) posted a 1.07 rating and Jeremy Gast (Kursy) a 1.03 rating. Filip Brankovic (Graviti) recorded a 0.96 rating and Lucas Chastang (Lucky) a 0.85. For Luminosity, Aurélien Drapier (afro) had a 1.17 rating and Simon Boije (yxngstxr) a 1.13; Lucas Meneghini (lux) was at 1.03.

The Warsaw title is 3DMAX’s second event win this month, following their victory at NODWIN Clutch Series 11. The 214 Valve points from the Logitech G Play Connect event add to the team’s total in the global ranking system used to determine Major qualification and invitations.

The French roster has been linked to North American organization Envy; the organization posted on X shortly after the final indicating a return to Counter-Strike.

3DMAX’s next event is the 1win Private Club Season 1 LAN in Belgrade, a $100,000 event beginning Friday. The team will compete there as they continue to accumulate Valve points toward PGL Major Singapore qualification.
