YEKINDAR Wins First Career MVP Award at PGL Masters

Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis won his first career Most Valuable Player award after helping FURIA defeat Nemiga in the PGL Masters Bucharest grand final.

The Latvian posted a 1.56 rating in the best-of-five final, the highest mark among all players in the series. Danil “molodoy” Golubenko and Daniel “syph0” Ageyev had been his closest contenders for the award before the final, but neither matched his rating in the title decider.

YEKINDAR led the playoff statistics with a 1.37 rating, 91.6 damage per round and 0.82 kills per round. He shared the highest opening-kills-per-round figure at 0.18 and recorded the best round swing at plus 3.42%.

His overall tournament rating was 1.27, behind Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko’s 1.31. YEKINDAR’s rating was affected by an inconsistent performance in the first three rounds of the group stage. His results in the playoffs and grand final earned him the tournament MVP award.
