Viper: BLG’s Worlds communication was worse than none

BLG ADC Park “Viper” Do-hyeon described the team’s communication as “worse than having none at all” after its 2-1 loss to Top Esports on Oct. 29.

Bilibili Gaming ADC Park “Viper” Do-hyeon described a breakdown in the team’s communication during its 2-1 defeat by Top Esports in the Swiss Stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship.

Viper told Korean esports outlet Inven that BLG’s communication deteriorated after the team lost Game 2. In Game 3, players began making individual calls without listening to their teammates.

“Players were just blurting out whatever they wanted to say,” Viper said. He described the communication as “worse than having none at all.”

He cited a bot-lane fight as an example. A BLG player reportedly called that Top Esports’ Pantheon did not have his ultimate available. Pantheon then used the ability to join the fight, which BLG lost.

Viper said improving communication should take priority over selecting champion compositions for upcoming matches. He added that he does not currently have a clear idea of how BLG should approach its games, but believes reaching the quarterfinals could give the team time to improve.

Top Esports won the series after coming back from a game down and secured a place in the quarterfinals. BLG fell to a 2-2 record and will play in the fifth and final Swiss Stage round on Saturday, Oct. 31. The winner will advance to the quarterfinals, while the loser will be eliminated from Worlds 2026.
