Team Liquid suffer first scoreless map in 0-13 loss
Team Liquid lost Dust 2 0-13 to 100 Thieves in the Stake Pulse Beat III group stage, recording the North American team’s first map without a round win.
Team Liquid lost their first scoreless map in the Stake Pulse Beat III group stage, falling 0-13 to 100 Thieves on Dust 2. The defeat ended Liquid’s bid for consecutive LAN titles after their recent win at the fl0m Mythical LAN.
The North American teams met in the group stage with a playoff place at stake. 100 Thieves picked Dust 2 and won every round on both sides of the map.
Keith “NAF” Markovic was the only Liquid player to record at least 10 kills. The remaining players failed to match 100 Thieves’ output, leaving Liquid without a round win.
The series continued on Inferno, Liquid’s map pick, at the time of the report. A Liquid win would have forced a third map, while a 2-0 result would have sent 100 Thieves into the playoffs.
Liquid entered the tournament after beating BBL and held 27th place in the Valve Regional Standings. The team was seeking ranking points ahead of the PGL Singapore Major.
The defeat followed Liquid’s LAN title at the fl0m Mythical LAN, which ended the team’s seven-year wait for a LAN win. 100 Thieves entered Stake Pulse Beat III with two LAN titles in 2026.
