Spun Mídia Builds Esports Group Around LOS and MIBR

Brazil’s Spun Mídia is using its programmatic advertising business to build an esports group around LOS and MIBR. LOS won CBLOL’s second split and qualified for Worlds 2026.

Brazilian media company Spun Mídia is building a multi-brand esports group around LOS and MIBR. LOS defeated FURIA 3-2 in Rio de Janeiro on Oct. 10 to win the second split of the 2026 Brazilian League of Legends Championship, known as CBLOL, and qualify for the main stage of the League of Legends World Championship.

LOS also qualified for the Rainbow Six Siege Major in Osaka, Japan, on Oct. 9, and earned a place at the Free Fire World Series in Bangkok. On Oct. 12, it defeated KaBuM! Esports 3-1 to retain its place in the 2027 CBLOL competition.

Spun acquired MIBR from Immortals Gaming Club in October 2025 for an undisclosed amount and launched its gaming and esports operation, EZOR. The company plans to keep LOS and MIBR as separate brands, with their own leadership, audiences and competitive plans. They share some commercial, marketing and operational resources.

Spun has allocated R$100 million, or about $20 million, for esports investment over five years. MIBR has qualified for the PGL Singapore Major in Counter-Strike 2 and appeared at the Rocket League World Championship.

Spun began as a digital advertising company in 2021, building websites, online communities and social media channels to attract audiences and sell advertising. Its programmatic business uses technology to buy and distribute digital ads based on audience data and campaign results.

“Our core business is selling advertising space,” CEO João Pedro Manetti said. “We are always thinking about how to acquire an audience so that we can sell those advertising spaces.”

Spun became an operational partner of LOS in 2024. Manetti described the investment as a way to apply the company’s experience in audience acquisition, digital distribution and performance marketing to an established esports community. Spun later acquired MIBR because its brand and competitive portfolio differed from LOS’s.

The company has separated LOS’s social media channels by game because League of Legends, Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, Free Fire and Rainbow Six Siege attract different audiences. Spun combined the brands for selected commercial opportunities, including the 2026 Esports World Cup, where they competed as MIBR.LOS.

Spun’s sponsorship model combines team and creator content with paid media distribution. The company also considers performance-based and commission-based agreements when campaign results can be measured. It has brought Absol, a League of Legends coaching product created by LOS founder and content creator Rodrigo “El Gato” Fernandes, into its operations.

Manetti described MIBR’s Counter-Strike division as needing improvement after a difficult season. He said recruitment would follow a sustainable plan instead of focusing on an expensive star roster.

Spun operates remotely, with employees across Brazil and occasional team meetings. It retained staff from the organisations it acquired and hired specialists for competitive operations. In 2026, the company became a Google partner for programmatic advertising exchange services and began providing technology to publishers including Brazilian Counter-Strike community Gamers Club.
