Sentinels Release JonahP and Jerrwin Before VCT 2027

Sentinels have parted ways with Jonah “JonahP” Pulice and Gurjiwan “Jerrwin” Gill ahead of VCT Americas 2027. The organization announced the departures in separate posts on Friday, October 30. Both players joined the VALORANT roster in March 2026 and spent less than eight months with the team.

JonahP joined Sentinels on March 6 after competing for G2 Esports. The Canadian won VCT Americas Ascension 2023 with The Guard, whose roster later moved to G2. He played several roles for Sentinels, including initiator.

In its farewell post, Sentinels described JonahP as a veteran voice for the team and referred to his path from competing against the organization to joining its roster. The team also thanked him for his work during the 2026 season.

Jerrwin joined Sentinels on March 24 after playing in the North American Challengers scene for Trust In Plug and SaD Esports. The Canadian took on the duelist role during his first season in VCT Americas.

Sentinels had given Jerrwin permission to explore opportunities with other teams in September. In its farewell message, the organization thanked him for accepting the responsibility of the duelist role and wished him well in his next opportunity.

Sentinels did not qualify for a Masters event or VALORANT Champions in 2026. The team finished the VCT Americas Stage 1 group stage with two wins and three losses, which kept it out of the playoffs.

Sentinels posted the same 2-3 record in Stage 2 and entered the Play-In. The team lost 2-0 to ENVY, defeated 2Game Esports 2-0 and then lost 2-0 to KRÜ Esports. The results ended Sentinels’ season without an international appearance.

CEO Rob Moore wrote on X that JonahP and Jerrwin had been informed on September 15 that they would become unrestricted free agents. He added that the players had worked hard, but the team had not reached the level of success the organization expected. Moore also wrote that Sentinels had identified “S-tier” replacements, although the organization cannot announce the new players before November 2.

Francis “OXY” Hoang has been linked with Sentinels for the 2027 season and is expected to take over the duelist position. The signing has not been confirmed.

Mohamed Amine “johnqt” Ouarid, Yassin “Reduxx” Aboulalazm and Gabriel “cortezia” Cortez remain on Sentinels’ roster. Riot Games has selected Sentinels as a VCT Americas partner for 2027 and 2028, but the organization has not announced its complete lineup for next season.
