Riot removes Breeze from Valorant competitive over bugs

Riot disabled Valorant’s Breeze map in competitive queues after bugs surfaced; a fix is planned for patch 12.11 and the map will return once issues are resolved.
Riot Games temporarily removed Breeze from Valorant’s competitive matchmaking after gameplay bugs surfaced that affected competitive integrity. The developer plans to restore the map with patch 12.11.
The change was announced on the official Valorant account on X.
Players highlighted two primary issues. When positioned to watch A Main on Breeze, Killjoy’s turret could detect opponents standing behind solid boxes and fire from protected angles. A separate interaction let Reyna activate her flash through walls, leaving nearby opponents blinded even without line of sight.
Community reports also pointed to irregular interactions involving other agents, including Raze and Sova on Breeze. Riot removed the map to limit disruption in ranked play while it works on a fix.
Breeze is part of Valorant’s standard competitive rotation, so queues continue with the remaining maps. Riot issues numbered patches that address exploits, ability tuning and map adjustments based on testing and player reports. The studio has not shared the technical cause of the Breeze bugs, noting only that they were introduced recently and will be corrected in the next update.
