PGL to host $1M China LAN with $300K VRS bonus

PGL announced a China LAN event scheduled for April 14-26, 2027. The tournament will offer a $1,000,000 prize pool and a $300,000 VRS invite bonus. It will feature 16 teams and be played entirely on LAN within the China visa region.

Fourteen teams will receive invites based on the global VRS ranking update in April 2027. The remaining two berths will go to the winners of regional qualifiers in Europe and Asia; those qualification cycles begin with open stages in January 2027.

PGL published the prize distribution for the main pool. First place will receive $280,000, second $155,000, third $115,000 and fourth $90,000. Teams finishing fifth through eighth will each receive $64,000; ninth through eleventh $28,000 each; twelfth through fourteenth $5,000 each; and fifteenth and sixteenth $2,500 each. The company has not provided a breakdown of how the $300,000 VRS invite bonus will be allocated.

Apart from dates, location, prize money and the invite mechanism, PGL has not released details on the venue, full competition format, event schedule or broadcast plans. The organizer confirmed only that matches will be held on LAN within the China visa region.

PGL is an event organiser that runs international esports tournaments. The company indicated further details and logistics will be released in future updates.
