Pentakill appears on orchestral Worlds 2026 theme

Riot Games released a new orchestral version of the Worlds 2026 Championship Theme on Oct. 12. The arrangement combines the original theme’s orchestral sound with heavy guitar parts, and its video includes references to Pentakill.

Pentakill is listed as a performer on the track, which carries the title “Worlds 2026 Championship Theme.” Rich Thomson composed and produced the arrangement. Owain Williams played guitar, and Jose “Atlan” Aranda played keyboards. George Lever handled mixing and mastering. Alexander Temple and Sebastien Najand are credited with the original Worlds theme, while Riot Games Music served as executive producer.

Pentakill’s logo appears throughout the video. Riot has not confirmed whether the release is part of a larger project, and has not announced additional songs, a new album or new Pentakill skins for League of Legends.

Worlds 2026 begins in the United States on Oct. 15 and will run across four stages. The Grand Final is scheduled for Nov. 14 in New York City. True Damage is set to perform during the Grand Final Opening Ceremony. Riot has not announced whether Pentakill will appear at the event.

The release is Pentakill’s first announced new music since “Pentakill III: Lost Chapter,” which was released in September 2021. The album followed “Smite and Ignite” in 2014 and “Grasp of the Undying” in 2017. Riot held a virtual concert in the League of Legends universe to mark the 2021 album’s release.

Pentakill’s lineup includes Karthus, Mordekaiser, Sona, Yorick, Olaf and Kayle. Viego joined the group during the “Lost Chapter” era.

Other League of Legends music groups have released new material in 2026. HEARTSTEEL released “Live My Life” in September and received a skin collection in Patch 26.20. True Damage released “Know My Name” on Oct. 8 as the official Worlds 2026 anthem.
