Paper Rex releases Jinggg and d4v41 before VCT 2027

Paper Rex has parted ways with Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie and Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee ahead of the 2027 VCT Pacific season. The organization announced the departures in separate social media posts on Saturday, Oct. 31, as it prepares roster changes for 2027.

D4v41 leaves after more than six years with Paper Rex. He joined the organization in 2020 as part of its Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster and moved to VALORANT with the team in 2021. Paper Rex referred to him as “abang,” a Malay term for an older brother, in its farewell message.

“From everyone at Paper Rex, we wish [d4v41] all the best for his future endeavours,” the organization wrote. It thanked him for his time with the team, as well as the memories and achievements they shared. D4v41 confirmed the previous week that he was allowed to explore opportunities with other teams as his contract approached its end. His next team has not been announced.

Jinggg joined Paper Rex in September 2021 and became known for his aggressive Raze play. In its farewell post, the organization highlighted his clutches, aces and memories away from competition.

“Today marks the end of an incredible chapter in my life,” Jinggg wrote on X after the announcement. He thanked his teammates, coaches, staff and supporters, and described Paper Rex as an organization that helped him grow as a player and person. He has not announced a new team.

Both players competed for Paper Rex during its international tournament campaigns. The team finished second at VALORANT Champions 2023 and won its first international title at Masters Toronto in 2025. Paper Rex also won VCT Pacific Stage 1 in 2026 and finished second at Masters Santiago and Masters London that year.

Paper Rex will remain a VCT Pacific partner for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. Riot Games selected the organization as one of eight league partners, giving it a place at the 2027 Kickoff. The departures do not affect that partnership status.

Paper Rex has not confirmed its complete 2027 roster. The organization also has not officially announced whether Jhon Patrick Ramos “PatMen” Mendoza will return after playing for Global Esports in 2026 or whether Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto and Ilya “something” Petrov will remain with the team.
