NAVI beat Spirit to reach PGL Bucharest playoffs
Natus Vincere beat Spirit 2-1 in the PGL Masters Bucharest decider to take the final playoff spot, winning Cache 13-2 and Anubis 13-3 around a 10-13 loss on Dust2.
The victory sent NAVI into the playoffs for the first time since their title-winning campaign at IEM Atlanta. It was NAVI’s third win in 15 matches against Spirit and their first against Danil “donk” Kryshkovets’ team since the group stage of IEM Katowice 2025.
NAVI opened the series on Cache, their pick in the veto. Drin “makazze” Shaqiri led the defense as Spirit managed two attacking rounds. Spirit also lost a 5v3 advantage after entering a stacked B site, while NAVI won three clutches before halftime.
Spirit took Dust2 13-10. NAVI recovered from losing the opening pistol round and built an early lead, but Spirit answered with a force-buy after the side switch. Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov and donk used a double-AWP setup to cut the deficit, while Boris “magixx” Vorobiev controlled Middle. Spirit then completed the comeback.
NAVI regained control on Anubis. Mihai “iM” Ivan and makazze created openings in the early gun rounds, and Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov produced several AWP kills. Spirit won three straight rounds by finding space in Middle, but sh1ro and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia won clutches in two of them.
W0nderful later recorded a four-kill AWP round while on one health. NAVI won every round after the side switch to close the map 13-3.
Makazze led the series with a 1.63 rating, 57 kills and 108.2 average damage per round. W0nderful posted a 1.40 rating and 50 kills, while iM and Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy also finished with ratings above 1.00.
Donk had a 0.41 rating on Anubis and finished the series with a 0.84 rating. The Anubis result was the fifth-lowest-rated LAN map of his career, according to the match statistics.
