MOUZ reach BLAST Open Porto final after Falcons, Vitality wins

MOUZ advanced to the grand final of BLAST Open Porto in Porto after wins over Falcons and Vitality. The team will face Spirit on Championship Sunday.

Adrian “xelex” Vincze finished the tournament with a 1.38 rating, the second-highest at the event behind Danil “donk” Kryshkovets.

Vincze credited recent work on his mental preparation for the uptick in form. “I have been working a lot on my mental side… focusing on my own game,” he said, and added that he tries to block outside noise and refocus after setbacks.

He described the win over their final opponents before the decider as a relief and noted the roster, assembled earlier this season, has begun to deliver results. He added the team will aim to keep that level of consistency at future events.

On outside criticism, Vincze noted he does not dwell on commentary and prefers to let results answer doubters.

MOUZ beat Spirit earlier in the event; Vincze referenced that victory when asked about the final and added the squad would prepare the next day and focus on playing well.

Vincze, who progressed through MOUZ’s academy, called reaching a second major final early in his career rewarding. He also said crowd support was welcome but that he keeps his attention on play rather than fan reactions.

MOUZ will contest the grand final on Championship Sunday with the tournament title at stake.
