Magic Replaces FUT at FISSURE Playground 3 in Suzhou

Magic will replace FUT in the team lineup for FISSURE Playground 3 after the Turkish club withdrew because of visa issues. Organizers said the change will require a rearranged match schedule and that revised groups and opening matchups will be announced later.

FUT pulled out one week after finishing as runner-up at the Esports World Cup, where they lost to Spirit in the grand final. The club’s withdrawal was attributed to visa complications that prevented the team from traveling to China.

Organizers confirmed the replacement will force adjustments to the tournament bracket and opening-day fixtures but did not provide a timeline for the updated schedule.

Magic, a European side ranked 19th in the world, will take FUT’s place among the 16 teams competing in Suzhou for a $1 million prize pool. The roster will make its third LAN appearance of the year after a fourth-place finish at PGL Astana and a round-of-16 run at the Esports World Cup, where Magic recorded wins over 3DMAX and 9z.

FISSURE Playground 3 is scheduled to run from Sept. 8 through Sept. 13 in Suzhou, China. Organizers have confirmed the venue and prize fund and are finalizing group-stage pairings following the late roster change. Teams and fans have been asked to wait for the official schedule release for match times and opening-day opponents.

No official statements from FUT or Magic accompanied the tournament update. FISSURE indicated further announcements, including the revised groups and match order, will arrive in the days before the event begins.
