Chickenpox Rules TYLOO’s Jee Out Of PGL Masters Bucharest

TYLOO AWPer Dongkai “Jee” Ji will miss the rest of PGL Masters Bucharest after being diagnosed with chickenpox. Head coach WeiJie “zhokiNg” Zhong will stand in.

TYLOO AWPer Dongkai “Jee” Ji has been ruled out for the remainder of PGL Masters Bucharest after being diagnosed with chickenpox. Head coach WeiJie “zhokiNg” Zhong will replace him for the rest of the tournament.

The 21-year-old is receiving treatment and resting in isolation. “We will continue to monitor Jee’s condition and make further arrangements based on his recovery and tournament regulations,” the organization wrote.

Zhong is scheduled to make his first appearance on Monday, Oct. 26, when TYLOO faces 9z in an elimination series. The match is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. local time.

The 32-year-old coach previously replaced Jee for three matches at FISSURE Playground 1 because of visa issues. Jee returned before the semifinals, and TYLOO won the $1 million tournament.

TYLOO is in the 0-2 pool at PGL Masters Bucharest after losses to FUT and Spirit. The team must win its next series to remain in the tournament. TYLOO is ranked fifth in the Asia VRS and has a 59% chance of reaching the Singapore Major.

It remains unclear whether Jee will be available for HyperX Retake Season 13, a tier-two LAN event scheduled to begin Thursday, Oct. 29, in Portugal. TYLOO will decide on his participation after assessing his recovery and reviewing the event’s regulations.

TYLOO’s lineup against 9z will be Yi “JamYoung” Yang, Jingxiang “Mercury” Wang, Qianhao “Moseyuh” Chen, Su “Zero” Jingshen and Zhong as the stand-in.
