Lamborghini joins DreamHack as Official Automotive Partner

Lamborghini signed a multi‑year agreement with ESL FACEIT Group to be the Official Automotive Partner of DreamHack festivals in the US and Europe through 2028.
ESL FACEIT Group and Automobili Lamborghini agreed a multi‑year partnership that names Lamborghini the Official Automotive Partner of DreamHack festivals across the United States and Europe. The deal runs through 2028 and includes physical car displays, sim‑racing rigs and planned integrations inside game titles such as Fortnite.
Andreas Jernberg, vice president of brand partnership development at ESL FACEIT Group, described the partnership as focused on long‑term cultural engagement rather than immediate vehicle sales. EFG research produced with Hero Esports and Niko Partners estimates about 400 million members of Generation Z regularly engage with esports worldwide, and roughly three‑quarters of those surveyed report that esports influences their purchasing decisions.
Jernberg characterised DreamHack as a mainstream festival for gaming culture and called it “the Coachella of gaming.” He noted the festival attracts creators, casual players, cosplay participants, technology enthusiasts and families as well as competitive spectators. Pre‑event polling at DreamHack Birmingham found 90% of UK teenagers would be more likely to attend a gaming festival than a traditional music festival, and 92% said they prefer the gaming experience. Organiser data cited a recent event with 41% female attendance.
Lamborghini’s activations have included the Temerario model on display alongside interactive sim‑racing setups at DreamHack Atlanta, with plans for evolving experiences at future festivals. EFG said combining physical displays with interactive simulations and in‑game elements aims to create a direct brand encounter that would be unavailable through standard advertising.
EFG uses community reaction and perception as primary measures of sponsorship success rather than direct sales figures. Jernberg pointed to other long‑running partnerships as examples, noting that logistics company DHL has been active in esports for eight years and become commonly referenced in Counter‑Strike 2 and Dota 2 events. EFG also advised that different esports and gaming properties attract different audiences, so brands select events that align with their image and objectives.
