jawgemo reportedly set to join Vitality for 2027 VCT season

VALORANT world champion Alexander “jawgemo” Mor has reportedly agreed to join Team Vitality for the 2027 VCT season, replacing Derke.

Alexander “jawgemo” Mor has reportedly reached a verbal agreement to join Team Vitality for the 2027 VALORANT Champions Tour season. The deal would see him replace Finnish duelist Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, although neither organization has confirmed the agreement.

Vitality parted ways with Derke on Oct. 24, shortly after finishing second at VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai. Derke joined Aurora Gaming’s newly announced VALORANT roster on Oct. 28.

Vitality considered several candidates for its vacant duelist position, including former Team Heretics player Mert “Wo0t” Alkan, before reportedly agreeing terms with jawgemo. If completed, the transfer would take jawgemo from G2 Esports to Vitality in the VCT EMEA partnered league.

The reported Vitality lineup for 2027 would include jawgemo, Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen, Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov, Ștefan “Sayonara” Mîtcu and Dawid “PROFEK” Święć. Vitality was selected as one of eight organizations for the 2027-2028 VCT EMEA partnership cycle.

Jawgemo became an international champion with Evil Geniuses at VALORANT Champions 2023. He stayed with the organization through 2024 before joining G2 ahead of the 2025 season.

During the 2026 season, jawgemo helped G2 reach the semifinals at Masters Santiago and VALORANT Champions Shanghai. G2 lost 2-0 to Vitality in the upper-bracket semifinals at Champions and was later eliminated by 100 Thieves. A completed transfer would place jawgemo on the team that defeated G2 at the tournament.

G2 is reportedly preparing a replacement. The organization reached a verbal agreement with former DRX duelist Song “HYUNMIN” Hyun-min for the 2027 season, according to a Nov. 2 report. That agreement and jawgemo’s reported deal with Vitality remain unconfirmed.

Vitality reached the Champions 2026 grand final after defeating Nongshim RedForce, G2 and 100 Thieves in the playoffs. The team lost 3-1 to LOUD, which became the first organization to win two VALORANT Champions titles.

Vitality missed Masters Santiago, finished second in VCT EMEA Stage 1 and reached the top four at Masters London. After failing to qualify for Masters through Stage 2 results, the team secured its Champions place through circuit points.
