India secures two Esports World Cup 2026 slots

KRAFTON confirmed India will have two slots at the Esports World Cup 2026 in Riyadh. One slot will go to the team ranked highest on the KRAFTON India Esports (KIE) leaderboard after BMPS 2026 and the other to the BMPS 2026 champion. If the same team occupies both positions, the BMPS runner-up will receive the remaining slot.

BMPS 2026 began on May 6 and runs through June 21. The tournament features 64 invited teams competing for a prize pool of more than ₹2 crore. The schedule includes qualifiers from May 6–31, a Survival Stage from June 2–5, semi-finals from June 9–12, a Last Chance window on June 13–14, and LAN Grand Finals in Jaipur from June 19–21. The semi-finals will feature 24 teams, with the top six advancing to the Grand Finals, where 16 teams will compete on LAN.

The KRAFTON India Esports leaderboard records team results across the season and will determine the top-ranked squad once BMPS concludes. KRAFTON announced the qualification criteria as BMPS began to provide a defined route for Indian teams to reach the international event.

The Esports World Cup 2026 is scheduled for August 6–16 in Riyadh and will include 32 teams from regions such as Southeast Asia, MENA, Europe and the Americas. India’s two qualifiers will join those regional representatives at the tournament.

Under the announced rules, teams aiming to qualify must maintain results on the KIE leaderboard throughout the season and compete for a BMPS 2026 title. The confirmed criteria link season standings and BMPS performance to international qualification.

BMPS is one of India’s largest BGMI tournaments. The qualification rules were published as BMPS 2026 started, and the event will culminate in the LAN grand final in Jaipur where the BMPS champion and the related World Cup qualifier will be decided.
