GIANTX has appointed Jack Joseph Williams as chief technology officer to lead the long-term technology strategy for iTero, its AI app for League of Legends players.

GIANTX has appointed Jack Joseph Williams as chief technology officer, with responsibility for the long-term technology strategy of iTero, its artificial intelligence application for League of Legends players.

Williams will oversee iTero’s technology strategy, scalability, software architecture, engineering and the development of the technical organisation supporting the product. Scalability refers to a system’s ability to handle growth without losing performance.

iTero is a desktop application that helps players with drafting, game setup and strategic decisions in real time. Drafting is the process of selecting characters before a match. GIANTX said iTero has surpassed one million downloads and is expected to quadruple its user base by the end of 2026.

The company plans to continue developing iTero for League of Legends and prepare it for possible expansion into other games. GIANTX acquired the startup in July 2024 in a deal reported to be worth several million dollars.

Before founding iTero and joining GIANTX, Williams was a senior data scientist at Deloitte, where he led a team implementing machine-learning tools for clients. He previously spent four years at HSBC, working first as a pricing analyst and later as a data scientist on forecasting and pricing models.
