France Télévisions to air Esports World Cup 2026 highlights

France Télévisions will provide exclusive daily coverage of the Esports World Cup 2026, airing “La Minute EWC” nightly from July 7 on France 4, with repeats on France 2 and streaming on france.tv.

France Télévisions has been named the official French media partner for the Esports World Cup 2026 and will deliver daily highlights and match coverage during the tournament.

The Esports World Cup will take place in Paris from July 6 to August 23, 2026. From July 7 the broadcaster will air a nightly highlights programme, “La Minute EWC”, at 9:00 p.m. on France 4, with a later repeat on France 2 and episodes available on the france.tv streaming platform. Match highlights and tournament content will also be shared on the broadcaster’s social media channels.

The agreement was arranged by N.E.O. (New Esports Org.), a European esports promoter founded by Bertrand Amar and Matthieu Dallon. N.E.O. will oversee production of the daily programme for the seven-week run.

The Esports Foundation, organiser of the event, noted France was selected because of its established esports audience and infrastructure and said the partnership aims to make key moments accessible to a national television audience.

Mohammed Al Nimer, the Esports Foundation’s chief commercial officer, commented:

France is one of the countries that helped shape modern esports. Its fans have filled arenas, built some of the world’s most passionate communities, and supported Clubs and players who have left a lasting mark on our sport. Bringing the Esports World Cup to Paris means bringing it to one of esports’ true homes. Through France Télévisions, audiences across the country will be able to follow the stories, rivalries and defining moments of EWC every day on national television. Our ambition is to help esports become one of the world’s biggest sports, and that starts by making its greatest moments accessible to everyone.

The Esports Foundation also confirmed several commercial and institutional partnerships tied to the event. Cristiano Ronaldo will continue as the tournament’s global brand ambassador. The Foundation has a collaboration with France’s Ministry of Sport, Youth and Community Life, and it has extended its commercial relationship with gaming chair maker Secretlab.

France Télévisions has prior experience covering competitive gaming. The broadcaster has been a multi-year streaming partner for the La Banque Postale Coupe de France de League of Legends, airing the competition’s early stages, semi-finals and finals on its platforms. Ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, France Télévisions produced Aux Jeux Streamers!, a hybrid event that paired internet creators, television personalities and Olympic athletes in virtual sports, with coverage on france.tv.
