Falcons remain perfect at ESL Pro League with 2-0 win

Falcons defeated Aurora 2-0 in a group-stage match at ESL Pro League Season 24, winning Mirage 13-4 and Dust2 13-10. The result keeps Falcons unbeaten at this stage after an earlier 2-0 victory over TYLOO.

On Mirage, Falcons built a lead through a strong CT side. René ‘TeSeS’ Madsen won a 1v4 pistol round that shifted momentum in Falcons’ favor. Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač provided consistent firepower and Maksim ‘kyousuke’ Lukin contributed across rounds as Falcons closed the map 13-4.

Dust2 was tighter. Aurora took a halftime lead after CT rounds led by Özgür ‘woxic’ Eker and Ismailcan ‘XANTARES’ Dörtkardeş. In the second half Ilya ‘m0NESY’ Osipov increased his impact and Falcons ran eight consecutive rounds to overturn the deficit and finish 13-10.

Individual numbers show m0NESY with a 37-20 line and the highest rating for Falcons. NiKo finished 32-26, TeSeS 31-23 and kyousuke 32-24. For Aurora, Jimi ‘Jimpphat’ Salo posted 30-27, woxic 34-32, XANTARES 17-35 and Damjan ‘kyxsan’ Stoilkovski 11-30; kyxsan faced Falcons for the first time since leaving the team earlier this year.

Before the tournament kyousuke called ESL Pro League a “high priority tournament” and added, “It’s just being a bit smarter, being a bit more disciplined.”

Aurora entered the event after finishing second at StarSeries Fall. Against Falcons they led at halftime on Dust2 but could not stop Falcons’ second-half run.

The result preserves Falcons’ perfect record in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 24.
