Evo Brazil 2027 Sets Record for First-Day Ticket Sales
Evo Brazil 2027 sold more tickets on its first day than any previous Evo event, with the tournament scheduled for March 26-28, 2027, in São Paulo.
Evo Brazil 2027 set the Evolution Championship Series’ record for first-day ticket sales after tickets went on sale. The inaugural South American event is scheduled for March 26-28, 2027, at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo.
The sales total exceeded the initial commercial benchmark for every Evo event since the series began, according to Evo Head of LATAM Rafael Queiroz. The result followed months of planning by Evo’s global and regional teams. Queiroz described São Paulo as a potential growth market for Evo’s parent company, RTS.
Evo Brazil will offer a guaranteed prize pool of at least R$1 million, or about $186,000, across eight main-stage games: Street Fighter 6, TEKKEN 8, Mortal Kombat 1, FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves, Guilty Gear -Strive-, THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game and MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls.
The event will feature open-bracket competitions, fan-run Bring Your Own Community tournaments, an Artist Alley and an official Evo Museum. Evo also plans to work with local tournament organisers and support grassroots events through its LOCALS program.
Queiroz joined Evo in April 2026 after leading Team Liquid Brazil. He described support for local organisers and smaller tournaments throughout the year as a way to maintain activity in Brazil’s fighting game community and develop the regional scene.
Evo Brazil is part of RTS’ international expansion, which includes planned events in Mexico, Singapore, Morocco, Saudi Arabia and China. The circuit also holds established events in the United States, Japan and France. Visa and PlayStation Tournaments are global commercial sponsors of the Brazilian event.
