Eternal Fire, Nemesis Earn LAN Spots at Stake Ranked 5

Eternal Fire and Nemesis secured the remaining LAN berths for Stake Ranked Episode 5 after winning their respective closed qualifier brackets. Gareth ‘MisteM’ Ries-led Eternal Fire advanced by defeating WBT, Nuclear TigeRES and K27. Nemesis reached the LAN with wins over Rune Eaters, Sashi and fnatic.

The LAN main event is scheduled for Oct. 27-30 and offers a $100,000 prize pool. The onsite field includes teams such as Astralis, MIBR and B8. Matches at the LAN will award prize money and VRS points that count toward Major invitation considerations.

Organizers confirmed the tournament format includes open and closed stages feeding into the onsite bracket. Eternal Fire advanced through one side of the closed bracket and Nemesis came through the opposite side, completing the set of teams moving from closed qualifiers into the onsite event.

Neither team is currently projected to receive a direct invite to the Major in Singapore. Results and points earned at Stake Ranked Episode 5 will be included in the VRS standings ahead of the November 2 invite cut-off.

With the main event less than three weeks away, Eternal Fire and Nemesis will prepare for live-stage matches and the opportunity to improve their VRS totals and prize earnings at the LAN.
