Esports World Cup and online platform Kolex launched the official EWC 2025 trading-card collection online as part of a multi-year partnership. The collection was offered in starter and hobby box formats; during the initial launch the product listings briefly showed ‘sold out’ and were later removed, returning a ‘page not found’ error.
The series features esports athletes and clubs from across the games on the Esports World Cup program. The inaugural run focuses on standout participants from the EWC 2025 tournament and is organized into six categories: Legends, MVPs, Rookies, Centurions, Prestige, plus one-of-one Elite and Chronicles cards.
Organizers indicated the rarest cards’ design and availability will be linked to match results and highlight moments from the ongoing EWC 2026 tournament.
Kolex and the Esports World Cup listed two box formats at launch: the EWC 2025 Starter Box with 25 cards for €29.99 (about $34.70) and the EWC 2025 Hobby Box with 120 cards for €99.99 (about $115.60). Shortly after the listings went live the store showed the items as sold out; a few hours later the product pages were removed. Organizers have not provided a public technical explanation for the website errors.
During the seven-week tournament the partners plan in-arena events including public pack openings, player autograph sessions and limited-edition card drops at the venue.
Mohammed Al Nimer, chief commercial officer of The Esports Foundation, described the cards as ‘turning championship moments into lasting collectibles and becoming part of the tournament’s legacy.’
Physical trading cards have appeared elsewhere in esports. Riot Games released the trading-card game Riftbound and produced a limited collection with South Korean team T1. French clubs Karmine Corp and Gentle Mates have added physical collectible cards to their product lines.
The Esports World Cup and Kolex did not disclose card print runs, inventory numbers or a revised online distribution timeline at the time of the announcement.
