Envy returns to Counter-Strike with ex-3DMAX roster

Envy has announced its return to Counter-Strike by signing the former 3DMAX roster: Bryan ‘Maka’ Canda, Lucas ‘Lucky’ Chastang, Kévin ‘misutaaa’ Rabier, Filip ‘Graviti’ Brankovic and Jeremy ‘Kursy’ Gast.

The American organisation last competed in Counter-Strike in 2020, when it fielded an international lineup that included Michał ‘MICHU’ Müller, Noah ‘Nifty’ Francis and Thomas ‘Thomas’ Utting.

The signing places Envy back in French Counter-Strike, the region that produced the organisation’s only Major win at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca 2015.

The new Envy roster is ranked No. 21 in the global VRS standings and is contesting for a slot at the Singapore Major. The team is scheduled to play at Stake Pulse Beat III, where it is expected to debut in Envy colours on October 12, and at DraculaN S7 prior to the VRS cutoff.

The five players have competed together under the 3DMAX banner and will now compete under Envy branding. Results at the upcoming events will contribute VRS points used for Major qualification.

Envy previously ran both domestic and international lineups. The organisation’s return places it back into Counter-Strike competition, where performance in regional and international events will determine its route to the Singapore Major.
