ENCE to file for bankruptcy after board decision

Finnish esports organization ENCE will file for bankruptcy after its board of directors approved the decision, ending its 13-year run in competitive Counter-Strike.

ENCE announced that it will file for bankruptcy after a decision by its board of directors. The organization did not provide further details about the reasons for the filing.

At the time of the announcement, ENCE’s Finnish lineup ranked 103rd in the global Valve Regional Standings. The organization had not appeared at an MVP event since September 2024.

The roster consists of Teemu “teme” Korva, Aleksi “millert” Lehtopuu, Giorgi “Schwarz” Gakhokidze, Joe “joeski” Holmes and Henri “HENU” Ylilehto. Aleksi “allu” Jalli is the team’s coach.

In a post on X, allu wrote that he was “heartbroken.” He added that he would provide a more detailed statement about his future and the team after the situation had settled.

Founded in 2013, ENCE won three MVP events during its operations. Two came in 2019 with an all-Finnish lineup led by Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen. That team also reached the final of the IEM Katowice 2019 Major.

ENCE won its third MVP event in 2023 with an international lineup led by Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer. The organization sold the team’s core to Falcons in December 2023 and made several roster changes afterward.

In April 2026, ENCE promoted its Finnish academy team to the main roster. Allu joined the lineup as head coach in June.
