CS2 exploit lets players use grenade camera to wallhack in ranked

An exploit in Counter-Strike 2 lets players enable the grenade practice camera in Competitive, Premier and FACEIT matches via Steam launch options, granting visibility through walls.
Players have discovered an exploit in Counter-Strike 2 that forces the grenade practice camera to run in live matches, allowing users to see opponents through walls.
The method uses console commands placed in Steam launch options. Commands reported to be involved include sv_cheats true and sv_grenade_trajectory_prac_pipreview true, along with several other practice-mode settings. The full list of launch options required to reproduce the effect is circulating publicly.
Reports indicate the bug can be replicated in Competitive matchmaking, Valve Premier matches and independent FACEIT games. The first public reports appeared soon after Valve released the Animgraph 2 update, and community members have pointed to that update because the timing aligns with the initial reports.
Because sv_cheats is normally enforced by the server, it is not clear why the practice-only camera can be enabled from the client via launch options. Tournament organizers and platform operators have raised concerns about the potential impact on ranked and competitive play.
Community posts have warned players not to attempt the exploit. Using the camera in live matches risks enforcement actions from platform operators, including permanent bans. One community thread reads: ‘The grenade camera can be forced in matches when these launch options are applied.’
Valve had not announced a fix at the time of reporting. Organizers and platform operators are monitoring matches while the developer investigates the issue.
